Through the support of the Barrington Parent Teacher Organization* (PTO), funds from fundraising events ensure all students can have equitable access to the same opportunities. Our funding supports additional learning experiences including guest speakers, field trips, external programming, hands-on authentic experiences and so much more for the students of Barrington Elementary! 100% of our net proceeds directly benefit our amazing student population with resources and tools to enrich their learning environment, beyond what is already provided at a district level.

 

Barrington Mini-Fundraisers

The PTO hosts dine or shop events on various nights throughout the school year to raise funds for Barrington Elementary. These events occur on average once per month. Communication on these events will be posted here on our website, sent via email and also posted to our social media channels. Be on the lookout for our next Mini-Fundraiser so you can help support Barrington!

Making Tracks for Bobcats 

Each year the Making Tracks for Bobcats event is a HUGE success and everyone continues to love this fundraiser! This year the 1-mile fun walk will take place at Jones Middle School Track on October 4, 2024. Students will walk with classmates in their grade throughout the day, all while enjoying school spirit, music, fun with friends and a sweet treat. Each student will receive a special Barrington Bobcat spirit wear item to commemorate the event and as a thank you for their participation in helping us reach our goal! PLUS there will be a fun photo op experience after the walk!

 

An average donation of $50 per student will help us surpass our goal, but we are grateful for any level of financial support you are willing to offer Barrington students. Please feel free to share the donation link with friends, family, neighbors and anyone else who would be interested in supporting your student’s efforts! The link to donate can be found HERE.

Election Day Bake Sale

Calling all bakers, treat makers, shoppers & generous community members! We are gearing up for Election Day on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Annually we host a bake sale in the Barrington cafeteria to raise money for the PTO. We are in need of baked goods & snack donations, financial donations (we can shop for you!) and parent/student volunteers to sell the treats. There is no school on Election Day, so we strongly encourage your elementary students to join the fun and work the table, practicing their math skills and engaging with our community members. Bobcat Social

Last academic year was our first ever Bobcat Social and it was a smashing success!

 

This event is an adults only fundraiser that supports Barrington Elementary. While the date for the 2025 Bobcat Social has not yet been set, questions and those interested in volunteering can email our chairs, Amanda Reeves and Jenna Renshaw at thebobcatsocial@gmail.com.

Clown Around

Clown Around is such an important fundraiser for Barrington, as it is one of the school’s primary events and a historical community event. Each year, in conjunction with field day, we have fun games and activities available to kids of all ages and invite the families of Barrington students to join the fun after school from 3-5 PM. 

​

We are proud to say that we make Clown Around a FREE EVENT for all Barrington students and families thanks to generous support from our community! In lieu of selling tickets to the event, we ask each student to raise $40 or more to help in meeting our goal. We are grateful for any level of financial support you are willing to offer our school. Additionally, there are other great ways that you can support the event through volunteering and in-kind donations!
