The Barrington Book is an optional, school-wide read-along designed to promote community through the shared experience of reading a good book. Participating families read the same book at home over the course of several weeks.

Get excited for this year’s book: The Tale of Despereaux. The optional program will conclude with a movie at The Grandview Theater on February 28th, 2026 at 10:30am.

You have the option of purchasing this year's book through the Barrington PTO. Book purchases through the PTO will be made directly with Storyline Bookshop. You can also purchase the book on your own if you'd prefer. Book orders through the PTO close on January 10th. You can continue to sign-up through January 16th, but participants will need to provide their own book.​
