Welcome 5th Grade Parents!​
This page will serve as your guide to the many 5th grade celebrations throughout this school year as we recognize the Class of 2033. Included are important dates, information about the various celebrations and events, and links for you to submit t-shirt sizing, donate to the 5th grade celebration fund and submit photos for the memory book and video.​
Important Dates:

Wednesday, December 31, 2025 – Video photos due (deadline now extended to Friday, January 16th, 2026!)

February 17, 2026 – Memory Book photos due

Wednesday, May 27, 2026 – 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony - Parents encouraged to attend. Limit 2 guests per student.

Wednesday, May 27, 2026 – 5th Grade Luncheon – Students and staff only

Thursday, May 28, 2026 – 5th Grade Clap Out – Parents and families encouraged to attend

Thursday, May 28, 2026 – 5th Grade Celebration – Students and volunteers only

Important Links:
For your reference, 5th Grade promotion includes the following:

5th Grade T-Shirt - the 5th grade t-shirt is given to each 5th grader and lists all classmates’ names along with the contest winner’s design.

Ceremony - a promotion ceremony celebrating our newest Barrington graduates that is held in the Barrington gym on the second to last day of school. Families are encouraged to attend.

Class Gift – students brainstorm and determine what they want to give to Barrington as their parting gift to represent their class.

Class Party - all students are invited to participate in the 5th Grade Class Party held on the last day of school after dismissal. This will be in place of an End-of-Year Class Party.

Luncheon - all 5th grade students and teachers are provided with a catered lunch on the second to last day of school to celebrate the culmination of their Barrington careers.

Clap Out - the entire school, Kindergarten - 4th grade, line the block and send the 5th graders off at dismissal on the last day of school out of Barrington and on to Jones. Families are encouraged to attend.

Memory Book – given to each 5th grader in the spring, this book highlights each student featuring their picture and favorite things. Photo submissions were requested via email.

Video - a class video, shown at the ceremony, includes pictures of all classmates. Photo submissions were requested via email
